Books Alive! For Kids®

Books Alive! For Kids® is a twice EMMY nominated, national award winning performing arts literacy program that brings books alive through sight-reading the book; sound-watching a performance based on the book and touch - creating a craft related to the book, for use at both home and school.

LTA's success in improving literacy for pre-K - 3rd graders at Greater Cincinnati area schools has won the agency's Books Alive! For Kids program contracts with the largest Cincinnati-Hamilton County Head Start sites and as the national literacy partner with The Links, Incorporated, Links To Success: Children Achieving Excellence, across the United States.

Since 1997, the program has proven success in schools such as Bond Hill Academy, where literacy rates among pre-K - third grade participants in the program have increased 20-40% since 1998. Additionally, schools in Bridgeport, CT have measured a 3-4% increase in reading scores and comprehension. Over 7,000 students experienced the love of reading books brought to life with Books Alive! For Kids® creating the next program expansion.

Learning Through Art, Inc. introduces Books Alive! For Kids® for consumer retail, which includes Home Edition, Birthday In A Box and Holiday In A Box which are adaptations of the Educational Edition to fit homeschooling, educational supplementation, birthday parties and holiday gift-giving needs.
